Agree about Early Times.
ОтветитьHonestly it’s your list so if you want to put 101 on the best of the best go for it. Will say your palate is interesting but it’s your palate. 🥃🥃🥃
ОтветитьSo middle of the road is better than a “Big Hitter”? 🤔
ОтветитьWell, I tracked with your placement until you got to WT101. And now I must unsubscribe 😂
ОтветитьI love your honesty on Elijah Craig. I happen to love a lot of their Barrel
Proof batches. I’ve even bought a few BP store picks, but I appreciate that you’re honest that you’re not a huge fan, even if it’s controversial.
I like the Eagle palate go, no-go, idea
Ответитьgood video
Always love when I agree except for the couple of "are you out of your damn mind?" moments
I think your rankings of Very Old Barton and Early Times are wrong, but I do think they're good. I always wonder if people overrate them because they are such good values. Better than knob 12? come on
Big hitters where it’s at makes zero sense. Sorry couldn’t even watch the video
ОтветитьLike everyone, you have some lower cost bottles beating higher cost bottles. I have a few rebuys now- the 100 proof Old Grand-Dad, 100 proof Coopers' Craft, 90 proof Bernheim Original Wheat Whiskey, 100 proof Early Times, Maker's Mark 46 Cast Strength, and most expensive the 122 proof Open Doors from J Mattingly.
ОтветитьBrad..off topic on the video. You are the conviction expert. I snagged a bottle of 2019 Conviction Clarity private barrel selection. Anything you can tell me about this bottle?
ОтветитьNot having michter is a SIN (over-exagerating). But its my favorite shelfer rye.
ОтветитьYou might have to make it a dry/no buy month. The bottles do stack up.
I save those longer dry stretches when I get some sort of cold or virus over the course of the year. It's hard to enjoy the whiskey during illness anyways.
OGD 114 versus bottled in bond versus basil Hayden's being the same juice but different proofs basically from what I understand.
Crazy what a difference proof makes!
Michters small batch is one of the best i have had. Beats New Riff, and Penolope.
ОтветитьThis is terrible, how do you have a channel?!
Just kidding😂
I love this and I love that I don’t agree with half of yours. That’s the whole point of enjoying bourbon, everyone has their own tastes!
Wow, thats a crazy interesting ranking, Coopers Craft is good. I love the Pen barrel strength 4 grain. Great video!
ОтветитьCopper Craft is a good bottle, very old barton Is AWESOME
ОтветитьNice video Brad!
Agreed with most of your selections with the exception of your ranking of the 1792 Single Barrel. Don't let one bad apple spoil the whole basket!
You know as well as any of us that single barrels will vary. My experience is that they would be at the top of the Middle Shelf rankings. Hope you find yourself another bottle and give it a chance! Cheers!
Eagle rare definitely lower than middle, more like bottom shelf tops. Boring sip.
ОтветитьCan't barely hear the last 6 minutes. Great video just cannot hear you.
ОтветитьBulleit over Elijah Craig and 1792 is just madness.
ОтветитьThe only elijah craig that blew my socks off was a toasted barrel proof.
I got a sample still regret not snagging a full bottle it sold out quick.
Nothing but hurt feelings in this one
ОтветитьStarting with ELT at Middle Shelf IMMEDIATLY lost cred in my books. That's a bottom shelfer all day every day. Old Fitz 10 is a mid shelf, at best. Cool bottle, but marketing doesn't really get points from me. It's average, at best. I'd rather drink Larceny at 7 years and BP than drink BIB Larceny. The exceptions are the 13 and 15 years. Those are top shelf, but not best of all time.
Ответить1792 small batch is the worst on this list tastes like rubbing alcohol and drown food coloring and nothing else no notes no hints
ОтветитьThank you for giving Jack Daniels Single Barrel Select love they're really really good at 94 proof I've had a couple store picks that have just been my God so good I had a Total Wine pick that was just really really good but it was a caramel bomb.
ОтветитьI think you're middle shelf and big hitters should be inverted. Very Old Barton? That's about as average as they come. Knob Creek 12 should be a big hitter, as well as Old Forester 1910. Buffalo Trace, Blanton's and Elmer T. Lee are middle shelf, but below your "Big Hitters". If you haven't had Cooper's Craft 100, then you're missing out. For around $30, it's fantastic. You must have gotten a bad 1792 Single Barrel. That's another good bourbon in my opinion. You can't go wrong with the JDSBBP Rye. I have 4 bottles of it, only because a local store had it for &49.99. I've gotten Early Times for as low as $10.99 on sale in Jacksonville. For a liter bottle, it's hard to beat. I know it's a lot of bottles, and everyone has their own opinion. Just my two cents. Really enjoy your channel. It sounds like you have been really fortunate in the bottles you've been able to secure. Cheers!
ОтветитьI disagree with 90% of these placements, yet i watched the whole thing 😂. Good video!
ОтветитьThe internet is going to rip you to shreds over these rankings! It takes guts, nice video. I dont agree with 90% but thats the beauty of these things, its all opinion. Thanks for the link to the tier thingy.
ОтветитьMichter's American Whiskey is great. Might be my favorite bottle at $35-40 right now.
ОтветитьMy taste varies a bit from yours but that's what makes bourbon fun. It's OK to be different. You didn't have any insane picks. The one thing I would encourage is for you to get a bottle of Cooper's Craft 100. When you said you've never had it, I was sad for you. I love the stuff. For $30 I can't find a better bottle. Keep making great videos!!!
ОтветитьCooper craft is good..
ОтветитьI’ve had 2 1792 SiB store picks that have been bangers. If you need a sample let me know!
